Hot Crock

I was talkin' bout crocks last night with my mom and she passed along some of her long-time Crock-Pot knowledge. She recently bought a new pot with the removable liner and LOVES it. Now you can take out the liner and put it in the dishwasher.

But she warns against buying a Crock Pot with the stainless steel sides: she has found that it gets very hot on the outside and can potentially burn your hand.

Those are some good tips. Thanks, Mrs. Ryan!

Oh yeah, the removable (dishwasher safe) liner is a must. Those Slow Cooker Liners were helpful but kinda annoying. Removable liners are the ultimate in lazy cooking. Toss food in crock, nap the day away, eat yummy food, chuck liner in dishwasher and voila its ready to go again.

when the weather starts to turn chili I slow-cook a crockful of boston baked beans and stand downwind from the rest of the family for the next week or so
